• Booking & Transaction Records: Room selection, check-in schedules, payment amounts, installment plans, and booking reference numbers.
• Manager Verification Data: Identification documents, property ownership/lease evidence, and business registration details submitted by hostel managers.
• Technical & Log Information: IP address, device browser type, operating system, and interaction timestamps.

3. Google OAuth & Third-Party Authentication

CampusDwelling offers single sign-on (SSO) integration through Google OAuth 2.0. If you choose to register or log in using your Google account:

• We request access only to basic public profile information: your primary email address, full name, profile picture (avatar URL), and unique Google user identifier.
• We do not request access to your Google contacts, Google Drive files, or emails.
• Information obtained via Google OAuth is used strictly to create and authenticate your CampusDwelling user account.

You can revoke CampusDwelling’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account Security Settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal information for the following legitimate business purposes:

• Facilitating room bookings, bed space reservations, and partial installment payment schedules.
• Verifying student eligibility and hostel manager credentials to maintain a safe platform ecosystem.
• Sending transactional updates, payment receipts, booking flags, and deadline alerts.
• Providing customer support and resolving room availability disputes.
• Enhancing visual accessibility, system stability, and preventing platform fraud.

5. Payment Processing & Transactions

Financial transactions on CampusDwelling—including full room fees and partial percentage payments (30%, 50%, 70%, 90%, 100%)—are processed securely through regulated third-party payment gateway partners.

• CampusDwelling does not store or process sensitive credit card numbers, debit card CVVs, or mobile money PINs on our servers.
• Payment processing data (such as transaction status, payment amounts, timestamp, and payment link tokens) is transmitted encrypted over HTTPS.
• Our third-party payment partners operate under strict PCI-DSS standards and local financial regulations.

6. SMS & Email Notifications

By creating an account or submitting a booking on CampusDwelling, you consent to receiving operational communications via electronic message channels:

• SMS Messages: Sent to your provided phone number via authorized telecommunication gateway service providers to deliver instant booking confirmations, payment links, and urgent deadline warnings.
• Email Messages: Sent to your registered email address via secure transactional email networks to deliver booking receipts, password resets, and account verification updates.

We do not send unsolicited marketing SPAM, nor do we sell your contact numbers or email addresses to third-party advertisers.

7. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We share your data only with third parties essential for providing our service:

• Hostel Managers: Relevant student booking information (student name, phone number, room assignment, payment status) is made available to the specific hostel manager hosting your room.
• Infrastructure & Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure hosts, database management providers, payment processors, and SMS/Email delivery networks operating under data processing agreements.
• Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority to investigate fraud, safety threats, or illegal platform activities.

8. Data Retention & Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical security measures (including SSL/TLS encryption, password hashing, and tokenized session access) to protect your personal data.

We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active or as required to fulfill legal, accounting, and dispute resolution obligations.
